Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions, including invoices, receipts, shipping documents, and customs-related paperwork.
- Prepare and verify documentation required for import clearance while ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Reconcile payments relating to import duties, taxes, freight charges, and clearance fees.
- Monitor, record, and analyze costs associated with import shipments and prepare reports for management.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth import and clearance processes.
- Ensure all import-related accounting records are accurately maintained and filed.
- Stay informed of changes in customs regulations and import/export requirements to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- HSC, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting role; experience within logistics, import/export, shipping, or supply chain environments will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and import regulations would be a definite asset.
