Procurement Officer

Job Role

  • Liaise with local and foreign suppliers for ordering.
  • Gather information on parts to be ordered in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and send purchase orders to ensure correct and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with freight agencies to ensure products are collected from suppliers and reach local destination on-time.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs duties, and licensing requirements.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or delays during the import process.
  • Monitor payment to suppliers with accounting department.
  • Prepare and submit monthly procurement report for HOD.
  • Work in collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and import records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and import activities.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for supplier payments and budget monitoring.

Your Profile

  • Degree or Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management.
  • At least 2 – 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in procurement, importation and warehousing would be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in customs, shipping, freight and imports procedures is desirable.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
  • Good leadership skills and proactive.
  • Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
